Structuring your admissions process to achieve your higher ed mission

Building a fairer admissions process that looks at the ‘whole’ student is the first step towards widening pathways into your institution. Such a process would incorporate highly reliable measures and evaluation of all the strengths applicants bring to the table, rather than just focus on academic achievements. This would help you evaluate applicants more fairly, and bring in a more diverse cohort of students who have the well-rounded skills to succeed in the program, and beyond.

In this webinar, Dr. Kelly Dore, VP of Science and Innovation at Acuity Insights, and Dr. Lyndal Parker-Newlyn, Associate Director of Teaching, School of Medicine, University of Wollongong, Graduate School of Medicine, look across different stages of the admissions processes for different types of institutions and programs looking at the most defensible processes and those that lead to achieving goals for mission, fairness and widening pathways. This session is ideal for those wanting an overview of best practices as well as those who are interested in QA on their existing process.
