Acuity Insights rank in Canada’s Top Growing Companies 2022

Acuity Insights (formerly Altus Assessments) is pleased to announce it has placed No. 220 on the 2022 Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies. The Globe and Mail’s Top Growing Companies list ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth. Acuity earned its spot with a three-year growth of 186%.

Published by Canada’s most widely read newspaper, The Globe & Mail, the editorial ranking aims to commemorate private and public businesses in Canada by highlighting the success of growth-minded companies in Canada. In order to qualify, companies must complete voluntary, in-depth applications. 430 companies from a wide range of sectors and sizes earned a spot on this year’s ranking. This is Acuity’s fourth year on Canada’s Top Growing Companies list.

“Whether they’re based in Vancouver or tiny Tara, Ont., have five employees or 7,500, one thing unites them: They’ve all managed to grow through some of the most tumultuous years on record,” says The Globe and Mail.

Acuity’s mission is to create a world served by exceptional professionals. We do this by helping universities look beyond book smarts within their admissions process and beyond. Until 2020, it had done this primarily through Casper, a unique, open-response situational judgment test that evaluates applicants’ social intelligence and professionalism. To better meet the needs of academic programs and learners, Acuity introduced Duet, a values-alignment assessment in 2021 to complement Casper and illustrate a more complete picture of applicants.

In August 2021, the company acquired One45 and its MedEd management software platform which, combined with Acuity’s research-backed admissions assessments, provides medical schools with the operational tools and end-to-end data analytics they need to run great programs and train better doctors.

“Acuity Insights is honored to be named one of Canada’s fastest growing companies by The Globe and Mail. To be listed among so many bold and innovative companies is a privilege,” says Acuity Insights CEO, Rich Emrich. “We couldn’t have achieved the amount of growth we have without our dedicated employees and exceptional partners. This is our fourth year on the list, and we remain committed to creating a world served by exceptional professionals.”
