AALS 2026
Conference description: Join us on January 6 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Grand Ballroom at 4:10pm as Acuity Insights presents Future-Proofing Law Students: Professional Skills in the Age of AI at the Association of American Law Schools annual conference.
Over its 125-year history, the Association’s Annual Meeting has become a central gathering for legal scholars and educators, highlighting the lasting impact of volunteers, faculty, and staff on American legal education and jurisprudence. The 2026 Meeting will celebrate these achievements—especially contributions that have been overlooked—while acknowledging the current challenges facing higher education. Despite increasing external criticism, much of it rooted in misunderstanding, law schools have made significant gains in curriculum, experiential learning, public service, and interdisciplinary scholarship. Today’s students are better prepared than ever, supported by professionalized staff and broadened institutional missions that respond to a rapidly changing world. As the Association marks its 125th anniversary, it is an ideal moment for the legal academy to reflect on its progress and renew its commitment to its shared mission.
